The Cue Sydney Flagship store and Melbourne Central store were the result of a new brand concept for the clothing retailer Cue Clothing.
Tasked with reinvigorating existing built environment concepts, the team drew inspiration from historic archives, European ties, and the Australian rock’n’roll legacy.
The emphasis on handcrafted finishes and intricate manufacturing techniques results in a retail environment that harmoniously reflects Cue's brand history with a contemporary vision of femininity.
The 60 square metre Cue Clothing flagship in Sydney’s heritage-listed Queen Victoria Building is surrounded by heritage glazing and presented a challenge in achieving openness and scale while accommodating extensive product displays. Combining reflective surfaces, polished metals, stone work and linen curtains, the design maintains store value amid high product volumes.
